This web site is intended to be informational and educational on topics related to respect for life and the dignity of every person, especially the tiniest and defenseless unborn persons. The most discussed issue of our time is abortion as a form of birth control. However, human life and dignity is denigrated in many other ways as well.

Please click on a topic in the menu to explore the subject matter briefly. These summaries are extracted from some of the chapters in my book “Building a Culture of Life: From Antiquity to Modern Era in the United States” (now available from Amazon and Barnes and Nobel, and wherever books are sold). As implied, there is a long history of the way in which humankind has practiced contraception, abortion, neonaticide, and infanticide.

In the modern era, there has emerged a huge economy for prevention of pregnancy and the elective termination of new life. Thus, there is a raging political battle for control of these options and the wealth they represent.

As noted in the menu, there are also many other assaults on life and dignity that affect people in every stage of life. These topics must not be ignored. However, the unborn are the most helpless and vulnerable, so most of our time is spent on the topic of abortion and how to provide women with the resources they need to avoid that dreadful decision.

In addition to those pages provided as an educational resource, the Current Events page is provided as a clearing house for fast-moving and often complicated pro-life news from a variety of sources.

The Upcoming Pro-Life Activities page informs the reader of opportunities for participation in activism. Information is posted for major events on a nationwide level, and there may occasionally be some on-line events of interest. Otherwise, however, I can only post activities in Texas and especially in or near Houston/Harris County where my largest audience is.

In the struggle to oppose a “culture of death” let us be encouraged by Pope St. John Paul II: “Never tire of firmly speaking out in defense of life from its conception and do not be deterred from the commitment to defend the dignity of every human person with courageous determination.”
